01
He was self-conscious about his upper left front tooth, which had turned yellowish-brown, and about a gap in his front teeth.
02
Closing the gap and aligning the teeth first would mean veneers could be added without drilling the natural teeth.
03
Veneers alone could have hidden the gap, but only by making the teeth wider or removing tooth. Moving the teeth first with Invisalign closed the space naturally.
With the teeth in position, no-prep veneers could be bonded straight onto the tooth surface to mask the colour, with no tooth structure removed.

1
Invisalign
Aligners closed the space and aligned the front teeth.
2
No-prep veneers
No-prep veneers were bonded to mask the discolouration, without removing tooth structure.

The gap has closed and the discoloured tooth now matches the rest of his smile, with his natural teeth left intact underneath.

A combined plan is priced stage by stage, so you can see what each part costs. After your consultation you get a written treatment plan with costs, before anything starts. Payment plans are available for orthodontic and cosmetic treatment, so the cost can be spread out.

If a few of these sound familiar, a consultation is the best next step. We explain your options, including the smallest treatment that will do the job.
This summary is based on the treating dentist’s account of the case. Every mouth is different, so your options, timing and costs depend on your own assessment.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Veneers bonded to the tooth surface without removing tooth structure first. They suit teeth in the right position that need colour or small shape changes.
Covering a gap with veneers usually makes teeth wider or needs tooth removed. Closing it with aligners keeps the teeth natural in size, and the veneers then only need to correct the colour.
Because little or no tooth is removed, they are more conservative than standard veneers. Discuss the long-term plan with us at your consultation.
