01

The patient’s concern

He wanted to fix teeth that were crowded and looked sharp and pointy when he smiled.

02

What we found

Moving the teeth into better positions would soften how the pointed teeth showed and even out the smile.

03

Our approach

Repositioning came before any reshaping, because straight teeth often look less pointed without any tooth being removed. Invisalign fitted around his university timetable.

Whitening was left to the end, so it refreshed the final smile.

04

The treatment plan

1

Digital scan and plan

A scan mapped each tooth movement.

2

Invisalign

Six to nine months of aligners corrected the tooth positions, fitted around his university timetable.

3

Whitening and retainer

His teeth were whitened, and a retainer was fitted to hold the result.

6 to 9 months · About 10 appointments

05

The outcome

His teeth are straighter and brighter, and the pointed teeth no longer stand out.

06

Looking after the result

Wearing the retainer as instructed

Regular check-ups and cleans

07

Cost and payment options

Fees depend on how much movement your teeth need and how long treatment takes. After your consultation you get a written treatment plan with costs, before anything starts. Payment plans are available for orthodontic treatment, so the cost can be spread over the course of treatment. See what affects the cost of Invisalign.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Questions about this treatment

Can Invisalign fit around university?+

Yes. Aligners are changed at home, and check-ins can be planned around your timetable. We are opposite UTS on Broadway, which makes visits between classes easy.

Why do my teeth look pointy?+

Often it is position, not shape. Canines that sit forward or crowded teeth show their tips more. Straightening can soften the look without reshaping.

Should I whiten before or after Invisalign?+

Usually after, so the whitening refreshes the finished smile.
